Amor Fati literally means 'to love one's fate'. In order to achieve amor fati, one must control their actions based on their beliefs. For instance, if a boy believes that eating a marshmallow is a bad idea, (even though he is craving the marshmallow) he will decide all of a sudden that eating the marshmallow is a bad idea after all. Being able to change the way something is by a simple belief, is enlightening.
